PLANT PROPAGATION | |
Propagation methods: seeds, stools, cuttings. Seeds are sown in beds between April and May. Seeds germinate within 8-12 days. Seeds stay viable for 2-3 years. Propagated by stools between July and August. The stem should be bent to the ground. Part of it should be covered with soil, leaving the last 6 to 12 inches exposed. The tip should be bent into a vertical position and staked in place. Wounding the lower side of the branch or loosening the bark by twisting the stem may help rotting.
Cuttings are taken in July. Cuttings are planted in hotbeds or greenhouses in substratum mixed from peat, sand, pearlite. |
