PLANT PROPAGATION | |
Propagation methods: seeds, scrub division, cuttings. Scrubs are divided when transplanting. 3-4 cm long cuttings are taken between June and August. Leaves are removed from the lower part. Cuttings are rooted in beds or hotbeds. Rooting percentage is 80 percent. Young plants are replanted to the final growing place the next year (Spring).
Seeds are very small. 12000 - 25000 seeds per 1 gram, 1000 seedlings per 1 gram of seed sown. Germination process is long about 1- 2 months. Seeds are sown in pots or boxes and gently pressed in Spring. Seeds are watered with sprayer Seedlings with 2-3 true leaves are replanted to boxes, later to beds. The first year sprouts should be protected from frosts. |
