PLANT PROPAGATION | |
Propagation methods: seeds, scrub division, cuttings. Propagation method by scrub division is proper when mature plant is replanted. Herbaceous cuttings are taken between June and August. 3-4 cm long cuttings without leaves are rooted in hotbeds or beds. The rooting percentage is 80%. Plants are replanted to the final growing place after 1 year (in Spring). Seeds are very small. 12000-25000 seeds per 1 gram. 1000 seedlings per 1 gram of seed sown. Seeds germinate within 1-2 months, then are sown in pots or boxes in Spring and gently pressed. Seeds are watered with sprayer. Sprouts with 2-3 ‘true‘ leaves are replanted into boxes, later in beds. The first year plants should be protected from frosts. |
