Propagation methods: seeds, cuttings. The flower is propagated in Spring, even in Summer. The cuttings (green and non woody, 4-6 cm long) are taken and rooted in beds. Rooting percentage is about 70-80 percents. Seeds are sown in beds or boxes in Autumn. Thin layer (0.5 cm) of soil is spread on top. 400 seeds per 1 gram, 1000 seedlings per 8 grams of seeds sown. 800 - 1000 seeds per 1 gram (Helenium autumnale), 1000 seedlings per 4 - 6 g of seeds sown. Seedlings are pricked out in beds when 2-3 true leaves appear. The seedlings could be pricked out 2 times. The seedlings are planted to the final growing place in the second year. The flower can grow to 5 years in the same.
