Dahlia with small blossoms could be propagated by seeds. About 140 seeds per 1 gram. Seeds stay viable for 2-3 years. Seeds are sown between March and April. Isolation distance is 50 m. Seed yield is 25-30 g for a square meter. Dahlia grandiflora is propagated by tubers. Tubers are stored indoors and are divided in Spring. Every part should have one small tuber and part of root neck. Usually tubers are divided in parts with 2-3 small tubers and a few growth buds. Propagated by cuttings in boxes or warm room in February. Cuttings are rooted in sand and pearlite substratum. Young plants with roots are planted in pots and later are dug in a soil with pot. Pots are stored indoors during winter. Tubers are formed if summer days are sunny and warm. These tubers can be stored indoors without pots during winter.

[1

post-383","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
