Propagation method: seeds sowing. Seeds are sown in beds in Spring or Autumn. Seeds are very small. 8000 - 10000 seeds per 1 gram. 1000 seedlings per 1 gram of seed sown. Only young seedlings are transplanted. Seeds should be thinned out if seeds are sown in the final growing place, Papaver alpinum at a distance of 15 - 20 cm, Papaver nudicaule at a distance of 20 - 25 cm, Papaver orientale at a distance of 35 - 40 cm. Papaver nudicaule and Papaver alpinum are self-sowing flowers. \r\nPapaver orientale is sometimes propagated by scrub division in August.
