PLANT PROPAGATION
Propagation methods: seeds, cuttings. Seeds are sown into boxes in greenhouses between January and February. A suitable soil mixture includes leafy earth, peat and sand (2:2:1). Seeds are very small. Seeds are spread on the surface of the soil or thin layer of snow and pressed. 80000 seeds per 1 gram. 1000 seedlings per 2 grams of seeds sown. Seeds germinate within 14-20 days at 20-22°C. Seeds stay viable for 2-3 years. Seeds are watered with sprayer. Seedlings are pricked out two times. The first time at distance 2-3 cm, second times at 6-8 cm distance. Planted seedlings are sensitive to the direct sun. A suitable soil mixture contains sod, leafy earth, peat and sand (2:2:2:1). Seedlings are replanted in boxes in April. They should be fertilized and irrigated. Propagation methods: tuber parts (in Spring). Seeds are sown in January. Seeds are very small. 60000-80000 seeds per 1 gram. Seeds stay viable for 3-4 years. Seeds are spread on the surface of the soil and pressed. Seeds germinating at 18-20°C. Small seedlings are pricked up twice with pincete. It is propagated by tuber parts in March when flowers begin to grow in pots. Every tuber part should have 1-2 shoots. Wounds should be fumigated.
