PLANT PROPAGATION
Propagation methods: seeds, scrub division (runners), cuttings. Species with double blossom do not mature seeds. 600 - 800 seeds per 1 gram, 1000 seedlings per 8 grams of seeds sown. Seeds are sown in beds between April and May. Seeds germinate within 8-12 days. Seeds stay viable for 2-3 years. Propagation by runners is used between June and August. Stem should be bent to the ground, covering part of it with soil. The sharp bend will often induce rooting. Cuttings are taken in early June and rooting takes place in hot beds or greenhouses in peat, sand or mixed substrate.
